Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-30
Circuit Keep is operated by Lambda 7 Tech LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data the game may process, why, and your choices. Circuit Keep is a single-player maze tower defense game. We have built it to need as little of your data as possible.
1. Data we do not collect
- No account or sign-up. The game does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or password.
- No analytics SDK is bundled in the game (no Google Analytics, PostHog, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment, or similar).
- No crash-reporting SDK is bundled in the game (no Sentry, Bugsnag, Crashlytics, or similar).
- No advertising SDKs and no ad personalization.
- No location data.
- No device fingerprinting and no persistent identifiers we generate ourselves.
2. Data stored on your device
Circuit Keep stores your gameplay state locally so your progress survives between sessions. This data lives only on the device where you play and is never transmitted to us. It includes:
- Audio settings (volume levels and mute state).
- Gameplay and display preferences (such as placement style, graphics quality, and interface options).
- Tutorial flags (which tutorial cards you have already seen).
- Campaign progress (level completion, research points, cleared levels, total playtime).
- Endless-mode statistics (run count, wave totals, timing).
- Interface view state (such as map pan / zoom position).
The game also writes rotated diagnostic log files locally (recent boot, error, and gameplay events, capped at a few megabytes). These logs stay on your device and are never transmitted to us.
You can wipe local data at any time by deleting the game’s local data through your operating system.
3. Steam
Circuit Keep is distributed through Steam and runs alongside the Steam client. When you launch Circuit Keep through Steam, Valve’s Steam client itself collects standard telemetry (such as your Steam ID, playtime, and hardware information) under Valve’s Privacy Policy. We do not control that collection; it is governed by your agreement with Valve.
The game integrates the Steamworks SDK so that achievements, stats, and Steam Cloud saves can be supported. When those features are active, the following data is exchanged with Steam on your behalf:
- Achievements and stats: when you reach an in-game milestone, the unlock is reported to Steam and tied to your Steam ID. Steam aggregates achievements and (where supported) global stats.
- Steam Cloud saves: if Steam Cloud is enabled on your account, your local save files (the data described in §2) are synced to your Steam Cloud storage so they follow your account across devices. We do not access these files outside of Steam’s sync mechanism.
- Player identity: the game can read your Steam display name and Steam ID locally to greet you and to attribute achievements. These values stay on your device unless used by a Steam-side feature above.
If you disable Steam Cloud for Circuit Keep in your Steam library settings, save data will not be uploaded.
4. Marketing site (this site)
circuitkeep.com is a static marketing site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It does not run analytics scripts or set tracking cookies. Cloudflare may log basic request metadata (IP address, user agent, page path) to operate and protect the site under Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
5. Service providers
We rely on a small number of third parties to distribute and host the game. Their privacy policies apply to their handling of your data:
- Valve / Steam — distribution, achievements, Steam Cloud.
- Cloudflare — hosting and CDN for the marketing site.
6. Children
Circuit Keep is suitable for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights
Because the game itself does not transmit personal data to us, most data-protection requests come down to data on your own device. You can:
- Wipe local game data by deleting the game’s save folder on your operating system.
- Manage Steam-side data (achievements, Cloud saves, hardware survey) directly through Steam.
- Email us at [email protected] with any privacy questions or requests under applicable law (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA / CPRA, etc.).
8. Changes
If we add features that change what data is processed (for example, online leaderboards, cloud saves outside of Steam, telemetry, or crash reporting), we will update this policy and revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
